Premium Plant Library
The new PCS 7 library for the power engineering and energy sector! Siemens PCS 7 is one of the latest and most successful process control systems on the market. GreyLogix und SAR are certified as Siemens “PCS 7 System Partner Specialist” – both companies are now members of a group limited to 40 worldwide. Outstanding system know-how, profound and comprehensive process knowledge – these are the basics to achieve this industrial award.
In terms of individual control concepts,
system availability and system structures, the requirements for control
systems applied in power generation are prescribed and defined by the
VGB regulation R170 B0-B6. PCS 7 libraries currently available on the
market only partially conform with these VGB standards; they do not
meet the present state-of-the-art or cannot be maintained in new PCS 7
versions. Being aware of these deficiencies, E.ON, GreyLogix and SAR
decided to develop a special power plant library – the
Premium Plant Library (PPL). This library complies with all VGB rules
and regulations and represents the overall scope of functions to be
found in an up-to-date power plant library.
The Premium Plant Library functions in brief:
- checked for VGB conformity
- power plant standard of controls and functions
- application of latest PCS 7 features
- compatible with all PCS 7 versions as of V 7.0
- available on the market
- replacement of PCS 7 PS library by PPL library feasible
The new PPL modules will be also available in pin-compatible design which allows plant operators to migrate from an already existing PCS 7 PS library to PCS 7 V 7.0. This will enable the partner companies to offer economically sound solutions for these customers when it comes to system migration and control system enhancement.
